Lined clogs: a guide to lining, fit and style

October 23, 2026 · Slip in Style

A lining changes the surface inside a clog, but the word “lined” does not tell you what that surface is made from. A smooth leather lining and a visibly textured lining can look and feel different. Start with the product details, then compare the shape and the size guide for the pair you are considering.

This guide brings together three Slip in Style clog styles: Marlow, Aurelia and Ember. Each has a lined interior, with different details to compare before choosing.

What should you check in a lined clog?

Look at the inside as carefully as the upper. Check the lining material where it is specified, whether the lining is visible around the opening, and the footbed beneath your foot. A close-up image can show texture, while the written details should identify any confirmed materials.

A product name such as “fur-lined clogs” is not enough to establish whether a lining uses natural fur, faux fur or another textile. If a particular material matters to you and it is not listed, ask us about the material before ordering.

Compare Marlow, Aurelia and Ember

Marlow: suede with a leather-lined interior

Marlow Suede Buckle Clogs have a suede upper, leather lining and leather footbed, with a rubber outsole. The closed toe, open back and buckle strap define the shape. Marlow is a leather-lined clog; its smoother-looking interior should not be mistaken for an unlined construction.

Aurelia: a buckle clog with visible, textured lining

Aurelia Lined Buckle Clogs combine a closed toe and open back with a buckle strap. The textured lining is visible around the opening. Compare the close-up and side views if that lining detail is part of what you like about the style.

Ember: a lined, closed-toe slip-on shape

Ember Lined Clogs offer another closed-toe, slip-on silhouette. The gallery shows the exterior and lining together. Compare Ember’s side profile with the buckle-clog shapes above, and use the size guide attached to the exact option you select.

How to choose a size when you plan to wear socks

  1. Measure both feet from heel to longest toe and use the longer measurement. Our foot-measuring guide explains the steps.
  2. Open Size & Fit on the product page and compare your measurement with that style’s own chart. Follow the chart that matches your selected option if more than one guide is shown.
  3. Decide whether you plan to wear the pair with bare feet or socks. Mention your usual sock thickness, foot length and any width concerns when asking us for fit guidance.

Do not assume that the same printed size gives the same fit across every style, or automatically choose a larger size because a clog is lined. If the chart leaves you between options, ask us before ordering.

A short checklist before you choose

  • Interior: compare the lining and footbed, and check any material details that matter to you.
  • Shape: look at the toe, opening, back and sole profile in the gallery.
  • Fit: use the individual size chart, including your plans for socks.
  • Care: check the instructions for both the upper and lining before cleaning. A method suitable for one material may not suit another.
